Staff and guests of Fiji Gas Ltd took out time yesterday to be part of the Bushell’s Biggest Morning Tea in aid of the Fiji Cancer Society Pinktober. The company rallied to show their support for the fight against cancer at their head quarters in Walu Bay Suva.
Guest speakers were Mr. Malarava Wilson a senior board member of the Fiji Cancer Society and Salome Nainoca, a survivor who now volunteers with the Fiji Cancer Society.
The morning tea came at a timely moment for the company as they celebrate their Health Safety Environment and Community month. Fiji Gas has dedicated the month of October to celebrate key goals for the company, which are health, safety, environment and community.
Fiji Gas’ National Sales and Marketing Manager, Samson Lal, said, “Every Action counts…. that is our theme for October. It aims to reinforce and celebrate that every small action goes a long way towards our communities and families, and we hope that our small donation today goes a long way to giving back to our communities and supporting the long and hard fight against cancer.”
Mr. Wilson spoke to the staff of Fiji Gas head quartered in Walu Bay about the Society’s role in supporting those affected by cancer and how we can support those fighting cancer in so many different ways.
The company plans to continue collecting donations from its various branches until the end of October where they will then present theirs and their staff donation to the Fiji Cancer Society at the end of the month.
