Fiji gas has opened its newest and its 15th Auto Gas station in Korovou, Tailevu. The station has been custom built by Fiji Gas and will cater for LPG vehicles in Tailevu.
The filling station will be operated by Nawaibuta Holdings Limited and will operate 7 days a week from 7am to 8pm.
Max Olsson, The National Operations Manager at Fiji Gas announced “We are very pleased to open this site in Korovou. This Auto Gas station will be a convenience for LPG vehicle owners in Tailevu going to and from the wharf at Natovi as Korovou is now a major transport hub in this region.”
“There is increased traffic along the Kings Road and our customers can now enjoy the power of LPG at convenient locations like Korovou.”
Safety is the number one priority at Fiji Gas. Their new Auto Gas station was built to Australian Safety standards for LPG stations and also complies with all Fiji permits for fuel stations.
Kauata Marafono the S&I Supervisor and Team Leader said “We designed and constructed the filling station using our staff’s expertise. Fiji Gas takes great pride in having the skills in house to develop our own LPG filling stations. We spend a lot of time training our staff to make sure we have the expertise locally and do not need to bring in foreign specialists.”
Fiji Gas has plans to open a total of 5 new filling stations on Vanua Levu and Viti Levu. “Auto Gas is an important fuel for Fiji.” said Hans Reiher, CEO of Fiji Gas. “It is the cleanest fuel in Fiji and we want to make it available throughout the country. Fiji is a major tourist destination and clean air and skies are as important as clean sandy beaches.”
International tests have shown that LPG produces far fewer pollutants than Diesel and even unleaded petrol.[1] Auto Gas from Fiji Gas is clean, safe, efficient and cost effective. These are benefits largely seen and enjoyed by many LPG vehicle owners.
Fiji Gas first began supplying gas to Fiji in 1956. It has grown into the largest LPG Company in the Pacific islands.
