Fiji Gas has invested into new cylinder delivery trucks for its Suva operations. Max Olsson, Fiji Gas National Operations Manager says, “We have always invested heavily into our Terminals and our fleet. The new addition of the Mothership means we are able to deliver more cylinders as it is slightly bigger than our current cylinder delivery vehicles. This will definitely contribute to better customer service to our central customers due to the increase in demand for our product.”
Safety is at the heart of everything we do at Fiji Gas. Like all our delivery vehicles, the new truck’s holding system was designed to the Fiji Gas load restraint requirements. The delivery vehicles railings have been raised to hold cylinders securely whilst they are in transit, moving or in an event of an accident. New easy release bars have also been built into the design to reduce manual handling tasks including a walkway in the middle of the vehicle tray to allow easy accessibility to cylinders for the delivery team.
